What is Prime Minister Internship Scheme ?
The Prime Minister Internship Scheme is a dedicated initiative aimed at bridging gap between academic learning and practical experience work for youth in India. Implemented by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India. The scheme offers 12 month of real world work exposure to youth across various field.
Eligibility criteria – Prime Minister Internship Scheme
Applicants are required to fulfil the following eligibility condition in order to be eligible for the scheme :
- The candidates must be an Indian Citizens.
- Applicants must be completed diploma or graduate degree
- The age of the candidates should be between 21 – 24 years.
- Applicants must not be currently employed or engaged in any other internship programme.

Internship Amount
Interns are paid a monthly stipend of Rs. 5000 for the entire 12th month internship period, of which 4500 is provided by the government and 500 is contributed by the company.
How to apply for Prime Minister Internship Scheme
REGISTRATION PROCEDURES :
- Applicants need to visit the official site.
- Here, you need to click on YOUTH REGISTRATION BUTTON.
- You need to provide your mobile number and tick on confirmation box.
- After that submit it and you will receive an OTP on your mobile number.
- Enter the OTP and submit it.
- You need to update your password and here your application process has been done successfully.
LOGIN PROCEDURES :
- Applicants are advised to visit the Prime Minister Internship Scheme.
- In the next stage, click on LOGIN and Provide your password and Username to access the PM Internship scheme account.
- Select the tab MY CURRENT STATUS.
- On the application form, enter all the necessary information i.e., Personal details, Mobile number, Bank details, academic qualification.
- After login to the page, click on INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY tab.
- Check the complete information and choose the internship that matches your eligibility.
- Select the Apply button.
- A confirmation pop up will appear asking “ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO APPLY FOR THIS INTERNSHIP”. Click on to proceed.
- Another pop will appear containing three short question.
- Provide your responses and click APPLY to proceed.
- Review the declaration and consent form, tick all mandatory check boxes and click submit.
- Your application will be forwarded to the companies, which all shortlist candidates based on eligibility and requirements.
- Shortlisted candidates may be called for an online interview or further assessment.
